Australia.

primary breeding grounds are West Australia, Victoria and New South
Wales.
- In the
wild the birds live and breed in large flocks.
- They
usually find cavities in trees to lay and incubate their eggs and raise
their young.
- Several
pairs will nest in one tree, even occupying the roots.
- Wild
Budgies feed on grass seeds.
- The main
predators of the budgie are tree snakes and birds of prey.
- In
Australia they can be faced with a very hot and dry in the summer and
in winter can be rather cold and wet.
- The female
will find the nesting cavity and gnaw at it to form a suitable nest.
- The wild
female usually lays 5 eggs.
